PROPOSED EXPANSION OF THE ARTS CENTRE
Our efforts towards the purchase of No. 11 Bell Street, which adjoins the
Arts Centre, continue to go very well. The amount raised now exceeds £96,000.
New donations from both members and non-members are of course very welcome
at any time, and should be sent to Stephen McDadd, the Secretary, at the
Arts Centre, by cheque made out to “The Shaftesbury Arts Centre Appeal
Account”. Anyone who prefers to contribute by regular smaller payments may
do so by completing a Standing Order Mandate, and forwarding it to Denis
Scott, the Treasurer, at the Arts Centre. Donors by either method who are UK
tax payers are also kindly asked to complete and return a Gift Aid
Declaration so that tax can be reclaimed. Both the Standing Order Mandate
and the Gift Aid Declaration can be downloaded from this website.
Many thanks to everyone who has helped so far - and to all of you who are
about to do so! The extra space we hope to acquire will greatly increase the
range of activities we can offer, and would be a wonderful achievement in
our 50th anniversary year.
Contributions are welcome as either donations or
interest-free loans to the following:
Donations (cheques or cash in any
amount): Stephen McDadd, Hon. Secretary, Shaftesbury Arts Centre, 13 Bell
Street, Shaftesbury, Dorset SP7 8AR.
Loans (5-20 years term, or for
further details): Stephen Rutter, Rutters Solicitors, 2 Bimport,
Shaftesbury, Dorset SP7 8AY, marking the envelope 'SAC Appeal'.
