ART
The interests of artists are catered for by the Art Group that meets regularly for a varied programme of work in any medium chosen by its members.





CRAFTS
Crafts exhibitions are a regular feature of the centre's gallery and workshops in crafts like pottery are supported through nearby crafts centres.





DANCE & FITNESS
Dance and keep fit classes for a varierty of ages and tastes are organised on various days by different groups.





DRAMA
The centre supports a strong drama group for both adults and young people and has a year-round programme of both amateur and professional productions.





EVENTS
A variety of special events, such as its famous Souper Saturdays, are held throughout the year in support of the centre's running costs.





FILM & RADIO
An international programme of top quality films for all ages and tastes is shown for most of the year through the centre's extremely popular and highly thought-of film society. A small independent community film-making unit and a separate community radio group also operate at SAC under the aegis of the centre's publications and communications unit.




LITERATURE
The needs of literature lovers are catered for by a poetry group run by published poet Pam Kelly, Viv Rudd's long-established reading group, and a newly re-energised creative writing group led by Jennifer K Oliver.





MUSIC
From live rock, blues, jazz, folk and you-name-it gigs by visiting professional musicians to workshops on classical music, the centre aims to appeal to every age and musical taste.





PHOTOGRAPHY
Photographers and would-be photographers can find help and a variety of creative outlets through the newly-formed Photography Society.
