Pottery by the famous Dorset-based Eeles family is a special feature of the Centre's gallery every Christmas.

Crafts exhibitions are a regular feature of the gallery programme throughout the year. The centre has no facilities as yet for the teaching and practice of ‘dirty’ crafts such as pottery and clay modelling but in response to demand the centre has established close connections with local crafts centres such as Swans Yard in Shaftesbury and Higher Green Farm Arts at Twyford where a wide range of crafts skills are taught and can be practised. Higher Green Farm is also a registered centre for the Arts Award scheme for young people.

Facilities for crafts are hoped to be included in the centre’s Stage 3 extension plans on land to the rear of the existing building - but for the moment an embryonic Crafts Group exists under the coordination of Des Alner and Julie Turner, directors of Higher Green Farm Arts and qualified advisers for the Arta Award scheme.
